Glasgow pensioner, 69, dies after horror house fire as emergency services race to scene

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene on Corbett Street after the alarm was raised around 3.35am on Friday morning.

Cops have confirmed that a man, 69, died following the tragic blaze.

Detectives don’t believe there are any suspicious circumstances.

And efforts are now being made to find the man’s next of kin.

A spokesperson for the force said: “A 69-year-old man has died following a fire at a house in Corbett Street in Glasgow, on Friday, November 20.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and enquiries are currently ongoing to trace his next of kin.
