Boy, 14, stabbed outside Glasgow secondary school
A teenage boy has been stabbed in an incident outside a Glasgow secondary school.
The 14-year-old suffered a stomach wound during the morning break, just after 11:30 near All Saints RC Secondary on Ryehill Road, Barmulloch.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. No details of his condition were released.
A cordon has been set up as investigations continue and police were following a "positive line of inquiry".
It is believed the boy was a pupil at the school and the incident happened outside the gates.
Ch Insp Stevie Hazlett said: "We understand this type of incident occurring is very concerning to parents and indeed people in the local community.
"However, I would like to reassure them that detectives working on the case are following a definite line of enquiry.
"This was an isolated incident and one which was targeted and not random – nevertheless this does not make it any less shocking.
"There will be additional officers around the vicinity of Ryehill Road and we would ask anyone who has any concerns to contact those officers for any additional reassurance or guidance."
A Glasgow City Council spokesman said: "Classes are continuing as normal and the school will be contacting parents with any updates."
