Mesut Ozil absolutely ruins Danny Welbeck with genius skill at Crystal Palace
The Gunners midfielder put in another fine display as the Gunners held on for a 3-2 victory at Selhurst Park, but his greatest piece of skill came before kick-off on Thursday evening.
A video shows Arsene Wenger‘s squad heading back towards the dressing room after their pre-match warm-up and Welbeck is seen shuffling along in an attempt to avoid a nutmeg from Ozil.
However, Welbeck underestimated Ozil’s abilities and the German playmaker still found a way of getting the ball through his legs.
Ozil rebounded the ball off of the hoardings at Selhurst Park and through the England forward’s legs – utter genius.
Asked about Arsenal’s victory at Palace, Wenger told Sky Sports: ‘Overall it was a convincing win even though in the second-half it was harder than the first.
‘We found the resources to score two great goals and from then we never gave up.
‘You want to win the game no matter how you suffer in the end. We did that.
‘We gained composure. We have come here and it is a difficult game for everyone in the league.
‘We suffered a bit but for the biggest part of the game we played well.
‘Crystal Palace have made some results recently, overall we played a good game. Our fluency was very good, at a few moments in the game we lost it a little bit.
‘I love attacking football but everybody is responsible for their own tactics. It is the way we are.’
