Dog walkers warned about bread stuffed with rat poison
Dog walkers have been warned about rat poison stuffed in bread at popular dog walking sites.
Police issued an urgent alert to all pet owners after they received a call this morning by a member of the public who found multiple piles of bread laced with blue poison pellets.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: ‘Warning for dog walkers in Preston Park, Brighton, Sussex. We have received a call this morning that multiple piles of bread with rat poison were found.
‘If you are concerned that your dog may have consumed any poison the RSPCA have provided advice.’
On social media, Tracie Farrelly said: ‘What horrible individuals. They should be made to eat it.
‘Trying to poison people’s pets. What about the poor birds, squirrels etc that may eat it.’
